Summary of the Festival
During five Festival days there were many interesting events – workshops, creative meetings, screenings, excursions. The filmmakers visited Yalta Film Studio, Museums in Simferopol, met the representatives of Crimean ethnic groups, went to schools and to Federal University to present their films and talk about cinematography.
At last, there came the final day of the Festival. There was the press breakfast with directors Sergei Golovetsky, Andrei Osipov and Varuzhan Galtakyan from Armenia in the office of the Crimean branch of the Russian newspaper. They had a very interesting discussion with Crimean journalists.
Another meeting at the same time was in the Crimean Republican Scientific Library named after I. Franco. Documentary films director Svetlana Kharchevina, Festival program Director Elena Kutsenko and radio host Boris Levin met with of representatives of the Crimean Football Federation there. They presented her film “Lev Yashin. Number One” about the great Russian goalkeeper, answered the questions about her work on the film. And then, there was the film screening.
At 6.00 p.m., the Festival closing ceremony began in the Crimean Tatar State Academic Music and Drama Theater.

Amid the prize-giving, the audience watched dancing performances of ensembles Cimmeria from the Crimean University of Arts, Tourism and Culture, and Youth by Mikhail Satanovsky from Crimean Federal University. The young singer Elizaveta Petrosyan together with the dancers from the Dance Theater “Music-safe” presented the winners and the audience the lovely song “the River”.
At the closing of the Festival, the audience watched the film «It is Repulsive to Break your Oath of Office. Krasnov» by Alexey Burykin.
From now, the II Crimean Open Documentary Films Festival was already the history.
